Hi, I’m Matt, co-founder of Expatriant. I spent five years living abroad in Russia and learned everything about being an expat. Due to the war in Ukraine, Russia is no longer a destination I recommend, but my time there helped me significantly in my career and life.
I studied law in two countries, started a few failed businesses, and traveled to over 40 countries during my time abroad. I still love traveling, and in my day job, I lead business development in the US for a Central & Eastern European law firm.
I live in Spring, TX, and created Expatriant with my brother to help others start their expat journey.

Hey, I’m Andrew, co-founder of Expatriant. I’ve spent almost five years living abroad, navigating bureaucracy as an expat. Before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I called Bucha home for three and a half years.
During my time in Ukraine, I opened a company, worked and contributed to the local IT community, traveled the country, and started teaching myself Ukrainian. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to return soon!
For now, I call Zagreb, Croatia home. I’m staying here on a digital nomad visa. Feel free to send a message if you’d like to chat!
